What’s in it

Seven tabs. You type in three of them. The rest are formulas, and they keep working for as many rounds as you throw at them.

Dashboard
The state of the club right now. Current round, who's lodged and who hasn't, the kitty, the leader, the wooden spoon, the last slip, and two charts. Screenshot it into the group chat.
Setup
Club name, dues per punter per round, the stake per slip, minimum odds, opening balance, and the list of punters. Everything else reads from here.
Legs
One row per punter per round. Who, what they picked, the odds, and W, L or V once it's run. This is the tab you type in every week.
Dues
Punters down, rounds across. Tick a cell when someone's paid. The kitty only moves on money actually handed over, and who-owes-what does itself.
Slips
Fills itself. Multi odds for the round with void legs left out, whether the slip won, what came back. Plus the club record: strike rate, staked, returned, biggest win.
Ladder
Fills itself and sorts itself. Wins, losses, strike rate, flat-stake profit, form over the last five, and the current streak. Leader's row in gold.
Kitty
Dues in, stakes out, returns back, running balance, with a column for the odd cash adjustment. Who owes what at the bottom, in red when it's owing.

It comes with an example season in it, seven rounds settled and one open, so you can see how it hangs together. Delete it, put your own punters in, and go.

Running a punters club, the short version

What is a punters club?: A group of mates who each put a set amount into a kitty every week, and each pick one leg. The legs go together into one multi, placed once, by one person. If it wins, the kitty grows. Over a season you find out who can actually pick a winner, and at the end the kitty gets spent on something everyone agreed to at the start.
What rules do you need?: Not many, but write them down before round one. The dues per round. The stake per slip. A minimum odds per leg, so nobody plays it safe at 1.10 every week. What happens if someone misses the deadline. And what the kitty is for at the end, because that argument is easier in March than in September.
What does the admin actually do each week?: Chase legs before the deadline. Put the multi on. Mark the results. Update the ladder. Update the kitty. Chase dues. Answer the same three questions in the group chat. It's about an hour a week if nothing goes wrong, and something always goes wrong.
What's flat-stake profit?: What a punter would be up or down if every leg they ever picked was a $100 bet on its own. A win at $2.50 is plus $150, a loss is minus $100. It's the fairest single number for comparing punters, because strike rate alone flatters the bloke who only backs favourites.
